I tried to photograph how extremely pleasant the yonder wild woods looked in the sunset next to the hard, relentless, stressful never ending work on a modern day dairy farm, but the farm wouldn't let me.
grass under your feet, and freedom of movement. A tied up cow can't lick her leg-pit, not once all winter long. A cow in a freestall is said only to lick her leg-pit like this if she trusts the floor not to be slippery, so a cow doing this in a barn means a good floor.
